Just wondering if anyone has had this problem, and may know a solution.
When trying to install the smtp-auth path, I have done the following:
Connected to the server by SSH as root, then gone to
/usr/local/src/qmail-1.03....
>patch -p0 </tmp/qmail-smtpd-auth-0.26/qmail-smtpd.patch
which yielded -->patching file qmail-smtpd.c
>qmailctl stop
Qmail stopped normally
>make setup check
which yielded -->qmail-smtpd.c: In function `main':
qmail-smtpd.c:787: warning: return type of `main' is not `int'
./load qmail-smtpd rcpthosts.o commands.o timeoutread.o \
timeoutwrite.o ip.o ipme.o ipalloc.o control.o constmap.o \
received.o date822fmt.o now.o qmail.o cdb.a fd.a wait.a \
datetime.a getln.a open.a sig.a case.a env.a stralloc.a \
alloc.a substdio.a error.a str.a fs.a auto_qmail.o `cat \
socket.lib`
./install
install: fatal: unable to write .../bin/qmail-lspawn: text busy
make: *** [setup] Error 111
Server info (if needed):
Red Hat Linux 7.1 OS.
Qmail 1.03 installed
Using Courier POP and IMAP servers.
FYI, I'm trying to install this patch, because someone has been sending
spam through my system. I myself can send from a non-local domain to a
non-local domain through Qmail....which, if I understand correctly,
shouldn't be happening. I do have Qmail installed, and configured
correctly.....at least I think it is, as I followed the installation
instructions to the letter.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
